Background
Ethiopia's Tigray region experienced a significant conflict from late 2020 to late 2022 between the federal government and the Tigray People's Liberation Front. The conflict led to widespread disruption, including to essential services and infrastructure. A peace agreement signed in November 2022 aimed to restore stability and facilitate the return of services.
