Drone Smuggling Operations from Egypt into Gaza
Reports detail smuggling operations, specifically drones from Egyptian territory into Gaza, carrying various illicit items.
Background
The Gaza Strip, a Palestinian territory, has been under an Israeli-Egyptian blockade since 2007, significantly restricting the movement of goods and people. This has led to a persistent black market for various items, often smuggled through tunnels or across borders. The blockade's stated purpose is to prevent the entry of weapons and dual-use items into Gaza.
